GIANTS CAPTURE BLAKEY FROM RHINOS

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce the signing of Half Back Frankie Blakey from Leeds Rhinos for the 2027 Women's Super League season.

The highly rated young talent joins the club from Leeds Rhinos, where she made 20 appearances in two seasons, scoring 4 tries and brings with her top experience.

An exciting signing as we continue to build on another season of continuiety and progress under Head Coach Nathan Graham.

Frankie discussed joining the club.

"I’m really excited to be joining Huddersfield Giants Women and starting this new chapter with a new team! I’m looking forward to getting into training with the girls and hopefully pushing for a top-four finish this season.

"I chose Huddersfield because I attended a few camps when I was younger and always found it to be such an enjoyable and welcoming environment. I’m excited to see how I can develop as a player, learn from the new coaches and make the most of this opportunity. I can’t wait to get started!"

Head Coach Nathan Graham commented on the signing.

"When Frankie became available we were very interested in having a chat. She is another great addition to our squad for the 2027 season. She's a quality player who can play a variety of positions. She's young, had a good start to her career at Leeds and we will be looking for her to kick on this year with a solid pre season under her belt."
