Kyle Wood's 2015 season was brought to a premature end as a serious foot injury in July curtailed his campaign. The 26 year old has worked hard in rehabilitation and returned to full training in the off-season and he is looking to be fully fit early in the 2016 season.
Wood's versatility makes him a valuable member of the squad where he is equally at ease in the hooker and scrum half positions.
He rejoined the Giants halfway through 2013 from Wakefield and was part of the squad who won the League Leaders Shield that year. The unfortunate Claret and Gold star also saw his 2014 campaign cut short with a cruciate knee injury and he will be hoping for an injury free 2016 campaign.
Wood featured 19 times in 2015, scoring three tries and is a valuable member of the Huddersfield squad. He provides the team with great impetus in attack and has the pace and agility to change a game with his presence in and around the ruck causing problems for opposition defenders.
