Two Match Ban for Giants player

Foster Care

Danny Brough has been banned for two matches after he was charged for two offences by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Brough was found guilty of a Grade B Dangerous Contact charge in Huddersfield's Betfred Super League match with Castleford Tigers on May 4. The player was found guilty and banned for one game. Brough  was also charged for another dangerous contact charge in the same match. The player was found guilty but the tribunal downgraded the charge to Grade B charge. The reasons for the downgrading were as follows: "In deciding the appropriate sanction this tribunal are satisfied the grading at grade B was appropriate. It is clear there was undue pressure put on the opponents neck area. This tribunal feel this was a careless act and that it was not deliberate or intentional." Brough was handed a further one match ban for this charge. In total, Brough will serve a two-match ban, as well as being fined £300.

Brough will miss the Giants game against Catalans Dragons at Magic and Wakefield Wildcats the following Friday.
