An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Huddersfield Giants Community Trust as a Community Development Officer working in Primary and Secondary schools along with Community Clubs in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.

The desired individual will be responsible for delivering a Primary and Secondary school development plan within Huddersfield and the surrounding areas in conjunction with the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Club. We are looking for an individual who has strong communication skills, is well organised, has the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and always works to a high standard maintaining a professional manner.

The applicant must hold an existing Level 2 coaching certificate in Rugby League, a full UK driving license and be willing to undertake a DBS check. Rugby League coaching experience is essential, experience of Sky Try and/or multi skills delivery within schools would be a significant advantage.

The role is full time position of 37.5hrs a week and is offered as a fixed term contract until September 2019. Salary for the role is dependent on your skills, experience and current qualifications within a pay scale of £16-18k per annum.

Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd is looking to recruit the following matchday staff to work at The John Smith’s Stadium from August 2018 onwards:  Safety Stewards, Car Park Stewards and Courtesy Stewards.

Matchday staff are expected to work a minimum of 75% of all Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants games, along with any other events or matches held at the Stadium.  ‘Matchdays’ can be any evening during the week or weekends throughout the year.

The primary role of a Steward is to ensure the safety of the general public at all times during an event taking place at the Stadium.  Ideal candidates will be those who enjoy interacting with people, have good communication skills and are willing to attend training in order to achieve an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Spectator Safety.  Applicants must be aged 18 or over for these roles.

The Assessment Centre will be held on the evening of Thursday 21 June 2018 and all successful applicants will need to make themselves available to attend this.
