Butterworth latest Giants departure

Reiss Butterworth has left Huddersfield Giants by mutual consent

Huddersfield Giants 21 year old hooker Reiss Butterworth has left the club by mutual consent. The former Bradford hooker made 1 Super League appearance in his two years at the club.

Huddersfield Giants Managing Director, Richard Thewlis said: “We had an unwritten but verbal agreement with Reiss and his manager that had he not cracked a regular Super League starting 17 berth after his second year he was able to move on should he wish to do so. 

“He has exercised this right and leaves with our very best wishes for the future and thanks for his time with us. Reiss will move into the Championship and employment both of which I know he is looking forward to as new challenges.”
