Update: Return of Supporters

Important information for all Giants supporters ahead of the planned return to crowds at the John Smith's Stadium.

There are an enormous number of rules and regulations which, as a Club and a Stadium, we must comply with, to allow supporters back into the ground in restricted numbers. We have to start somewhere and hope that everyone shows that we can abide by the rules and we will soon be permitted larger numbers by the relevant government authorities and safety groups.

For the games Giants v Wigan (11th June) and Giants v Salford (18th June), due to the restriction of capacity, we are only, at this stage, allowing attendance to our Season Card holders.  As we are limited to 4000 home supporters, this means that every Season Card Holder will get a ticket for these first two socially distanced games.  A Season Card Holder will receive one ticket per Season Card and they will only be processed when all the booking criteria has been fulfilled.

Every season card holder will shortly receive the necessary details regarding the process to claim their tickets. All season card holders have to claim their tickets for the Wigan and Salford games.

Please note that the actual physical Season Cards will not be valid for these games – only tickets that are applied for and issued in advance will be valid.  If you do not have a valid ticket, do not travel.

For these socially distanced games, Ticket Application Forms will be accepted up until 5.00 pm on Friday 4th June.

Applications will be processed in strict order of receipt. We do ask supporters that when you get to the delivery option for the ticket(s) you are claiming, please, if possible, choose the Print @ Home or Mobile delivery option and only use the Postal method if you are unable to use the others. This is to save time and ensure that all supporters receive their tickets in good time for the game. Although we will do our utmost to accommodate supporters in their preferred stand, we cannot process any specific seat requests.

Once your ticket has been processed you will receive an email confirmation confirming your ticket. On receipt of this email please read the link to our Covid19- Supporter Guide & Code of Conduct which will tell you everything you need to know about what to do on game day as this will be very different to your normal matchday experience.

Once in your allocated seats, you should only leave to access the toilets, for refreshments at half time and when you exit the stadium at the end of the game. Your face covering must be worn as soon as you leave your seat to go inside for any reason. However, best practice states, and we would also strongly recommend, that masks be worn whilst in the Stadium seating area, unless you are exempt. It is essential to avoid loitering in the corridors or concourse areas and we must keep all public areas as clear as possible, remembering that when in the building a face-covering must be worn.

The stadium will also be "cashless" for anyone purchasing items from the concession stands. Payments are accepted at the kiosks when paying with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay & G-Pay and we encourage supporters to use contactless payments wherever possible. The Stadium does not accept American Express or Diner's Club.

This is the start of what we hope will be a return to normality and these “rules” currently apply for our first two “Return to Crowds” games v Wigan and Salford. It is very much hoped that if we can all adhere to these, (albeit different) regulations, then our return to normality will be accelerated. It is though, only fair to re-emphasize that the licensing of events sits with the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) who do have the authority to revoke our return to crowds licence and re issue the behind closed doors licence.
