Hello and welcome to the John Smith's Stadium for this week's 'return' fixture against Wigan Warriors after facing them at the DW Stadium last week. Our loss last week showed heart and courage, and the effort the boys put it was outstanding. We could have snatched the win late on through Louis Senior, and that showed just how close we came and how well we applied ourselves, especially after the disappointing result at Catalans.

One look at the squad right now will reveal the extent to which our squad has been decimated by injuries, but to me it also reveals the maturity and quality of players we have coming through our outstanding Academy. Eleven of our 20-man squad have been produced and developed by the clubs outstanding Academy, and we should be really proud that we can put our faith in so many youngsters in this competitive environment.

It's so heartening to see so many local lads who offer passion and enthusiasm to the squad, and it shows with the gutsy performance in Wigan last week. It's been exceptional to see the development of these players in the last few years, and we look forward to many more in the first-team squad in the future.

Onto this week's game, obviously we had a preview of what Wigan offer last week, and the performance showed that if we stick to our processes and plans, we'll be in with a chance of getting a result. Maintaining intensity in defence and our structures in our attack offer the best way to get the win and give us a welcome momentum boost going into the back end of the season.

I hope you enjoy the game, are staying safe and well and look forward to the fixture tonight.
