THE PIB INSURANCE HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS GOLF DAY AGAIN PRODUCES SUPERB ENTERTAINMENT

The Giants’ Annual Golf Day proved to be yet another roaring success at Crosland Heath Golf Club.

22 teams took to the course under the glorious sunshine, playing 18 holes before a delicious two course meal, a raffle and the grand reveal of the final standings and winners. The Charity Hole on hole 2 was in full swing, with the team stationed there raising an amazing £890 across the day in aid of Pilates for Parkinsons, in association with the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust. This coincided with two challenge holes and 18 holes played at varied levels by our teams.

Huddersfield Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said:

“It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces on a truly scorching day at the Heath and again our thanks go to PIB Insurance and all the teams who took part. I had the pleasure of announcing the victors and the Rogers Geotechnical team defied pre-event predictions to romp home in some style, it has to be said, and end the two-year reign of the RRG Toyota group. Their name will now be engraved onto the Burdsey trophy.”

Longest drive contest winner: Dan Konyk

Nearest to the pin winner: Tom Richter.

Claiming the bronze medal was AFP Digital’s team, ending on 99 points and getting back-to-back podium finishes.

Boasting the runners up moniker was Abzorb’s representatives, ending on 103 points.

However, taking home the esteemed David Burdsey Trophy was Roger’s Geotechnical Services, who finished their round with a staggering 106 points to take home the ultimate prize.
