RUSHTON EXTENDS WITH GIANTS

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce a huge bit of retention news, as we can confirm that Harry Rushton has extended his contract until 2030

The 24 year old loose forward has been a revelation since returning to the team after injury, with consistent performance and numerous Sky Sports Man of the Match awards.

Rushton will remain a Giant until at least the end of 2030, committing his future as we move to the Flair Stadium from 2027, in a brand new, exciting era for the Huddersfield Giants.

Head Coach Jim Lenihan commented on securing Rushton to a new and improved deal.

"Massively pivotal to our squad, he's embraced the physicality and how we want to play, and while Cluney was injured he's really stepped into that leadership role and been influential to the lads.

"He's shown he can step into that captains role and lead our squad, our forward pack and be an example to the rest of the team, he's still young, so he can get even better and this is extremely exciting for the club and the team."

On signing the deal, Harry Rushton spoke about about the future of the club and the excitement he has around it...

"I'm really happy. The club is going in the right direction as we've seen at the back end of this year, so I'm really excited for the next four years. First and foremost we've got a really good playing group, and Jim too, he's been brilliant. The move to Dewsbury is really exciting and it's something I want to be a part of."
