GIANTS FAN POCKETS £10,000 JACKPOT IN CASH BONANZA DRAW

Steven Croft won the Week 52 jackpot, pocketing £10,000, on Friday

Steven Croft had a pleasant surprise this Friday, finding out that he won the Giants Cash Bonanza draw and pocketing himself a cool £10,000! Mr Croft was taking in the summer sun when he found out the excellent news.

"We were in the garden, back at home just having five minutes as it was a lovely afternoon in the sun and then the phone went and it was Lindsey saying that she got some good news for me and said that you had won the £10,000 jackpot."

The Giants fan, who has been following the side since 2007, thought he was the victim of a scam call when Lindsay Richardson, Lottery Sales Manager at the Cash Bonanza phoned him up to tell him!

"I didn’t believe it, I said to her is this a scam call, because I said to her I’ve had so many scam calls recently and claiming that they were this and that. When someone says to you that’s you’ve won £10,000, but I knew I was part of the Giant Cash Bonanza, I thought no it cant be true. Then I asked her again saying “did you say £10,000” so when she confirmed it I did then begin to realise that it wasn’t a wind up. My wife was there as well but she could only hear half of the conversation and she was looking astonished. It did take along time for it to sink in to be honest."

Mr Croft hasn't let himself be swayed by a vanity purchase with his winnings, instead he's going to concentrate his £10,000 on improving his house, doing some decorating, getting a new car and maybe even a new cooker!

"Well there is two or three things that we are needing to do really, our cooker is packed in so it will be really helpful in getting a new cooker. I know that they all sound pretty boring as it's not a holiday in the West Indies or anything like that but our car is knocking on a bit now and it will help towards that. Some decorating around the house needs doing, so some pretty standard things but those are the things that really help out."

Despite being a member for nearly ten years, Mr Croft has only won the lottery twice - winning small amounts, something winning the £10,000 jackpot draw makes up for, I'm sure!

"I think I’ve won £10 before, I think I won it twice actually, but that’s about it"
