DANIEL SMITH LEAVES GIANTS

25-year-old leaves the club following loan move to Featherstone Rovers

Huddersfield Giants have released Daniel Smith from the final year of his contract with effect from April 1^st 2019.  The 25 year old prop forward had been playing on loan at Featherstone Rovers and they are believed to be one of a number of options that Smith has going forwards.

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said “Daniel is out of contract at the end of the year and he and his agent were made aware that we would not be offering a contract so it makes sense with him not featuring in Simons plans that an early exit was worked upon which we concluded this week. Daniel is in essence a free agent as of Monday and its for him and his new club to announce his destination as and when that process is completed. He leaves us with our best wishes for the future and thanks for his time in the Claret and Gold.”
