Academy players and staff to Walk for Rob

Huddersfield Giants Under 18s and Giants Staff will join the Walk for Rob this Sunday

Huddersfield Giants Under 18s will join fans of both Huddersfield Giants and Leeds Rhinos in walking from Headingley to the John Smith's Stadium in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and Rob Burrow on Sunday 9th February.

Giants staff Andy Kelly, Steve Hardisty, Kim Williams and Adam Megretton will also join the youngsters from the Giants and the fans on the 21-mile walk between the two grounds.

In addition, Giants first team players will wear a special half-and-half shirt in the warm-ups, with each player having purchased their own to donate to the fund for the former Leeds player.

The staff's involvement will kick off the first of seven events to raise money for MND, including a Yorkshire Three Peaks walk by Andy Kelly and Steve Hardisty, a 24-hour Gym Conditioning Session, a trip from Liverpool to Leeds Canal totalling 125 miles, a Magic Cycle Ride to mark the Magic Weekend, a cycle dash on Challenge Cup final weekend and finally a trip from Pontefract to Old Trafford on the final day of the season.

The walk from Headingley to John Smith's Stadium was organised by Giants fan Mark Atack, and has gained popular momentum in the lead up to the Derby between the two teams.
