The Lowdown: St Helens (A)

All the information you need ahead of our trip to the Champions tonight

The Brief

Huddersfield Giants travel to St Helens tonight, hoping to bounce back after their 42-10 defeat to Wigan last time out. They will be hoping to better last year's visits to the Totally Wicked, having lost twice at the home of the Champions in 2019. Huddersfield have refreshed their side after last week, with Suaia Matagi suspended and Louis Senior brought out of the team, and will be looking to bring the two points back to Yorkshire.

The Teams

The Opposition

St Helens were truly outstanding in 2019, and have changed dramatically in some ways, but not at all in other ways in 2020. Coach Justin Holbrook has departed, with former Tonga coach Kristian Woolf coming in to the top job, but the squad has changed little from the 2019 vintage.

The Saints are led by full-back Lachlan Coote, supported by a spine of James Roby, Theo Fages and Jonny Lomax, while they have size in the pack with arguably the forward-pack of the season last time out featuring Alex Walmsley and Luke Thompson. Watch out for 2018 Golden Boot winner Tommy Makinson too.
