Innes Senior joins Wakefield on loan

Innes Senior has joined Wakefield Trinity on a one-month loan

Innes Senior will join Wakefield on a one-month loan. The homegrown winger scored 4 times in 2019, having made his debut in 2018.

Innes Senior said: “I’m happy for the opportunity to get some game time and play with new and experienced players”

“I’d like to thank Huddersfield for allowing me to go on loan and Wakefield for showing interest in me and working to get the deal done. I’m excited to continue my development and return to the club a better player.”

Giants Managing Director, Richard Thewlis said: "This is a good scenario for both the club and player and will in particular help develop a player who we all have high hopes can go on to become a top line Super League outside back with us.

“It's impossible to replicate the pressure and intensity of game day action and hopefully Innes will get at least four shots in the Wakefield shirt in his month and we'll review matters then.

“In the meantime we do of course have his brother Louis and Dom Young all pressing the established starters Jermaine [McGillvary] and Darnell [McIntosh] for an opportunity."
