Update: Huddersfield Giants Community Trust

The Giants charitable arm, Huddersfield Giants Community Trust, has made a major move forward in the planned return to a full reopening of the business.

At the weekend the indoor soft play area at The Zone reopened with their new procedures, a new entry system with time slots, social distancing measures and a very calm and enjoyable environment. You can book in for next weekend by clicking here. Sessions are capped and we wouldn’t want you to miss out!

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said “It was essential at the earliest opportunity lockdown permitted to get people back into the Zone and using the outstanding facilities that are there.

"The charity which is HGCT has been hit badly like every business and it was simply wonderful over the weekend to see some return to normality with children enjoying the reopening of the play area.

"The education facility also has reopened and the pitches too in a limited fashion. The business has been remodelled and reshaped with sadly a number of redundancies having to be made to ensure we had some chance to get through the pandemic and as the furlough scheme comes to end we really do need to get maximum usage out of all the areas that HGCT cover which are wide and varied.”
