Giants Academy attack devastates Broncos

Huddersfield Giants Academy 70-6 London Broncos Academy

A man of the match performance from Will Pryce helped Huddersfield Giants Academy to their biggest win of the 2021 Academy Season, winning 70-6 against the London Broncos Academy.

Missing several forwards including Fenton Rogers, the Giants had to shuffle their pack, calling Max Hindle and Ben Killan up to the front row while bringing Jayden Dayes, the explosive Scholarship forward up to the Academy team.

Fin Stewart opened the scoring for Huddersfield after just 3 minutes, and would add another after the first of a number of exceptional breaks by Will Pryce saw himself make the scores 16-0 after 10 played. The Broncos would get on the board courtesy of a well worked move on the back of a penalty, but this would be their last spell of pressure on the Giants line in what was a devastating Academy performance.

The fluent Giants played some excellent stuff, and capped off a great first 40 minutes with further tries for Pryce alongside Oliver Peterkin, Joe Howe and Aidan McGowan, the Giants scoring 5 times in response to London getting on the board and went into the shed at half-time 46-6 up.

Huddersfield were forced to wait 10 minutes for their opening try of the second stanza, but when the floodgates opened the Giants began to play Champagne Rugby and enjoy themselves, with a further 5 second half tries, the pick of which featured a juking and jinking Will Pryce score in the corner in the 63rd minute.

The Giants capped it off with two late tries for Pryce and winger Fin Stewart, and their 70-6 marks their biggest win of 2021.
