Rogers and Roby join Bradford Bulls!

Huddersfield Giants can announce that talented duo Fenton Rogers and George Roby will join Betfred Championship club Bradford Bulls on loan.

The young pair will head out on loan to neighbours Bradford, where they will continue their development and gain valuable experience in what is shaping up to be a competitive Betfred Championship competition, after both enjoyed a successful 2022 in Betfred League One with Rochdale and Swinton respectively.

Roby's performances for the Lions, who were promoted via the play-offs, earned him the Betfred League One Young Player of the Year award.

Managing Director Richard Thewlis commented on the pair heading out on loan.

“This arrangement with the Bulls is an ideal next logical step for both players development and one that will be a positive for all concerned. The two players will continue to train as and be full time players and enjoy all the facilities and expertise that we have here at the Giants whilst playing weekly for a team that most see as being a top four challenger in the ultra competitive Championship competition. 

"They will join up with the Bulls after completing pre season with ourselves and the deal does afford the opportunity to return to us should a super league playing opportunity present itself. I have no doubts that both players will thrive this year given a fair run of games and push strongly for Super league debuts which they’ll tell you is their stated goal as individuals which is exactly as it should be for ambitious young professionals.
