Huddersfield Giants to Stage “Inclusion” Double Header

Tickets are now on sale as we face the Catalans Dragons at the John Smith's Stadium on Friday 14th April, with the Huddersfield Giants Women's team also taking on Leeds Rhinos.

Huddersfield Giants will stage both the Men’s and Women’s games here at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday 14th April in our Inclusion round. The Giants Women’s team will play the Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Women’s Super League in a West Yorkshire Derby with a 5:15 pm kick off whilst the Men’s team will play against the Catalans Dragons in the Betfred Super League. 

This Round will also double as our Inclusion Round, as we celebrate our Women's team and the rise of the Betfred Women's Super League.

Season card holders can watch all the Women’s action from 5:15 pm in the Core Stand Lower North with gates opening from 4:45 pm and can then exit the stand and re-enter to their usual seats should they wish for the Men’s game which will kick off at 7:45 pm (Season cards must be scanned in and out for re-entry). 

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said “Once again we’re very pleased and proud to be able to host the Women’s team here at the same time as our Men. Showcasing the women’s game is something that we’re committed to, so to host their first Betfred Super League fixture of the season in our inclusion round is excellent news and hopefully they will attract a great crowd. 

"The double header held last year – coincidentally against Leeds - was one of the highlights of the season for me and if we can get support from our partners here then I see no reason why it can’t become a regular occurrence. 

"Playing here alongside the new facility being built at Laund Hill will hugely assist the growth and development of our women’s teams.”

All tickets for the women’s game are also valid for the men’s game but only in the Core Stand Lower North – anyone buying here will not be permitted into other areas of the ground.
