Kacy Haley: I liked what the Giants had to offer

We spoke to Kacy Haley after signing with the Huddersfield Giants Women for their 2024 campaign.
Here’s what the second-rower had to say!
Now you’re here, what are your initial thoughts, how are you feeling?
It seems a bit more real now! I can't wait to go meet the girls and start training.
How did the move come about?
I wanted a bit of change really, I’ve just come from Warrington and decided I needed a change of scenery closer to home.
And what made you choose the Giants?
I’d looked around a few different clubs, but I liked what the Giants had to offer and was drawn to that.
Was it handy to have so many former teammates from the Bulls, Wolves & Stanningley etc. here like Grace Ramsden, Millie Taylor, Alice Fisher etc.?
I’ve played with a lot of the girls that have just signed or re-signed.
I’ve played with Grace since I can remember. We both started out at Huddersfield St Joes, so I’ve known her for about 6-7 years and I play really well off her.
I can bounce off Millie Taylor too. I played with her at Bradford Bulls as well as Stacey Greenwood and Jess Harrap.
In terms of professionalism and full-time medical care, how does that as a player make you feel?
I’ve been really encouraged about it, I like working at professional standards and it’s a good thing to have in a club and set them as well for the girls to uphold.
Aims for this season? What are you most looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to playing with the talents that the Giants have just signed including the talents they already have in their ranks.
I want to become better as a player and work on my own individual goals.
We can't wait to see Kacy tear it up!
