GIANTS WOMEN CONFIRM TWO NEW SIGNING

Eva Izumi and Fran Copley become the next two players to join the women's team for 2025.

Eva Izumi a centre from York and Irish international Fran Copley an outside back from Featherstone Rovers join Lori Halloran's side for the upcoming campaign, marking two exciting acquisitions for the team as they prepare for 2025.

Fran, a hugely experienced player who has represented Ireland internationally is a major boost for the Women's team as they look to build on 2024.

Eva, a young promising player from York Valkyrie will add some class to the backline of the Giants.

Fran commented on joining the club.

“I feel it is a really exciting time to join Huddersfield Giants for the 2025 season. The intent and desire for the up coming season is something that cannot go unnoticed and I am looking forward to being a part of their journey in the WSL”.

Eva also discussed the 'fresh challenge' ahead of her in 25'.

“I’m looking forward to a fresh start and a new challenge in 2025. It’s been great meeting new people and everyone has made me feel welcomed. I’ll be aiming to develop myself as a player as well as playing my part in the overall progression of the squad”.
