BLACKER PENS PRO DEAL!

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce the next academy star to pen a permanent contract is full-back Logan Blacker.
Logan, who came through from the Giants Scholarship system, before that representing Siddal and Kings Cross Park RLFC amateur club in Halifax, has become the next of the emerging talents to commit his professional future to the Giants.
An elusive full-back, with exceptional goal-kicking, Blacker will look to follow in his grandad Brian's footsteps and break into the first team in the near future.
Logan discussed penning a professional contract at the Huddersfield Giants.
"It's been a bit mental to be honest, since I got told I can't really put it into words, I've been watching the Giants since 2007 and to now get that chance to work hard and eventually try and force my way into the first team is great.
"The professional contract is all I've ever wanted since I was a child, the work isn't done however though, I still need to work hard and learn from the older experienced lads that I train with.
"I'd like to give a huge thank you to Steve Fox and Andy Kelly who have overseen my development here at the club, they deserve the credit for where I am now."
Steve Fox, Academy Head Coach also commented on the progress that Logan has made since breaking through in the Scholarship system.
"It's massive for me and the club, we're starting to see the hard work pay-off with the players that are coming through the system such as Logan, Archie who has already been announced.
"Logan was initially a half-back, but we always felt that with his open running and freedom to play out of the back, we moved him to full-back and he's had a real dig in the past few years at that position and he's progressing nicely."
