DAVY OFFERS TO MATCH GIANTS FUNDRAISING FOR LINDLEY SWIFTS

Following the disgusting act of wanton vandalism at the Fartown home of Lindley Swifts ARLFC Giants Chairman Ken Davy has issued the following statement.

 "Like all Rugby League Supporters I was appalled  to hear of the shocking vandalism that occurred over the weekend to the Lindley Swifts Rugby league club.  Such disgraceful behaviour and wanton vandalism simply cannot be tolerated and I sincerely hope the culprits are brought to justice.  

Our amateur Rugby league clubs provide tremendous support to young people throughout their communities, teaching the qualities of teamwork, and individual and collective responsibility.  I can only imagine how disheartened the dedicated team of volunteers that run the club, and their players and supporters must be feeling.

I believe we all need to do what we can to help get the Swifts back up and running. 

The Huddersfield Giants will be holding a bucket collection at the game versus Wigan on Saturday (Ko 3pm) at our temporary home for the day in Dewsbury and I will personally match pound for pound every donation received in the buckets up to a level of £10,000.
