NEW SCHOLARSHIP INTAKE ANNOUNCEMENT

On Friday night, the new players for the Giants’ Scholarship programme were announced and presented onto the field at Half Time of the Giants First Team game vs Wakefield.

Prior to kick off, the youngsters had photos and signed their contracts surrounded by their friends and family, and alongside their new Head Coach, Jonny Wainhouse.

On signing the players, Jonny said…

"Really pleased with the group, there's some real potential, we've done a lot of work with these players, the scouting team deserve a lot of credit, they've been out watching these players.

"Collectively as a group we make the calls on these lads, it's important that all of us as a department, we all have an input in the recruitment decisions.

"It's huge for these lads to come into a professional environment, and to recognise them by doing these events as its part of their development."
