A look back at yesterday's VJ Day Tribute

The weekend marked the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day, signalling the end of the Second World War.

Both the Giants, and hosts St Helens marked the occasion prior to kick off on Sunday, with Giants Owner and Chairman, Ken Davy OBE, and St Helens Chairman Eamonn McManus laying wreaths on the field.

Both sides held up shirts, with the names of players that represented their clubs, with their heritage numbers on as The Last Post played.

It was a fantastic tribute to fallen soldiers, and brilliantly organised by St Helens, and we thank them for allowing the Giants players and staff to be a part of such a touching tribute.
