ACADEMY PRESENTATION EVENING

On Monday 8th September, we held our annual Academy Presentation evening where awards and accolades were recognised, with our Academy having one of their best seasons to date.

The Giants Academy, led by Steve Fox just missed out on the play-offs, on points difference which was an agonising fact to take, however the whole squad can be proud of the season they played which included defeating St Helens, Hull KR and Wakefield Trinity to name a few.

Firstly, there were a few accolades that were recognised by everyone in attendance, up first was top tackler which went to Zach Brown, the towering back accumulated a whopping 493 tackles during 2025.

Next up was top try scorer which went to Lewis Jagger, the utility back crossed for 11 tries during an impressive season for the first year academy product.

Then it was time for the actual awards, with Zach Brown scooping the Jennifer Davy Memorial Players Player of the Year award, a coveted award as it's voted by your fellow team mates.

Finally, Archie Sykes took home the Coaches Player of the Year award, after making his first team debut vs Leeds Rhinos this year, this award is a testament to all his hard work as he moves into the first team system in 2026.
