A message from Leroy Cudjoe

I arrived as a 15-year-old kid with a dream of playing professional Rugby League for my hometown club, and now I leave the game as a 37-year-old with a fiancée, three amazing kids, over 400 games for Huddersfield, and the honour of representing my country at a World Cup. The time feels right to move on and begin the next chapter of my life.
I retire with so many happy memories to look back on with my family, and I’m grateful for the friendships I’ve made along the way—many of which will last a lifetime.
I want to thank Ken, Richard, and the rest of the board for their continued support throughout my career—through the highs and also during the tougher times.
To the fans: thank you for the unwavering support you’ve shown me and my family over the past 20 years. We’ve shared good times and difficult moments, but your loyalty has always meant so much to me and to the team.
Thank you as well to my teammates, coaches, staff, sponsors, the board, and everyone who has been part of the club during my time here.
And finally, to my family—thank you for always believing in me and standing by me through everything. I love you.
Leroy Cudjoe
