Matty English wins after a fitting tribute to Ronan Costello

Next Up, was the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust player of the year, this award goes to the person who has been selected by the HGCT, for doing excellent work with the trust throughout the season. For the very first time, this award has been named after the late Ronan Costello, nine years on from his tragic passing. 

The room heard saw a video of both Matty English, and Andy Kelly talking about how much Ronan still means to the Giants and what they stand for.

A fitting award winner, Matty English scooped this award for his dedication to helping kids, both at the zone and out in schools!

It was also noted that 2026 will be Matty English's testimonial year, plenty of details for what we'll be doing to celebrate will be coming in the next few months.
