GIANTS ADD MANLY POWERHOUSE

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce the signing of NRL and Manly forward Chris Patolo on a two-year deal.

Chris arrives in Huddersfield having already played 27 times in the NRL at the young age of 24, bringing his experience to our pack and strengthening the middles.

In the 2025 NSW Cup competition, the Sydney-born forward averaged 92 metres per game and recorded a 96.5% tackle efficiency, showing his value that he will add to the Giants team for the upcoming two years.

The new signing will join up with his teammates for pre-season next month, ahead of his debut season in the Super League, in which he describes as being an exciting proposition.

Chris discussed the move to the Giants and playing his rugby in England for the first time.

"I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Huddersfield and really excited to make the move over to the Super League, the challenge excites me, and I'm ready to connect with the community and play in front of the Huddersfield fans. 

"I can’t wait to meet the boys and rip in to pre-season, it's a new environment for me and one I'm keen to get stuck into."

Head Coach Luke Robinson is excited to see the development of Chris in the Giants environment.

"We're unbelievably excited to get Chris on board, at 24 he's still got loads of development left in him, he's learnt a lot in his early years within the NRL, he can get us on the front foot and win the ruck for us.

"He's got great leg speed, and is a strong middle which is exactly what we're looking for, he moves extremely well for a big man, he's also good in defence and can put a great shot in."
