CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM CHAPLAIN

This time of year gives us much to look forward to. The mens team players have just returned from overseas camp and we soon anticipate January pre-season games, the Giant's first cup game and then Super League in February.

And as we celebrate Christmas, Christians and many others remember that at its heart is the gift of Jesus Christ – God’s love shared with the world.

This club is about far more than results and fixtures; it is a community where players, coaches, staff and supporters belong together, sharing highs and lows, long journeys, and the near-universal conviction that the referee definitely got that one wrong!

Christmas reminds us that we are at our best when we look out for one another, show grace in victory and defeat, and remember that our true worth is not finally decided by the scoreline or the league table. The Christian faith speaks of a hope that lasts beyond the final whistle, grounded in God’s presence with us.

My prayer is that this Christmas brings peace, rest and joy to everyone connected with the club, and that in the year ahead God will bless our teams, guide the coaches, encourage us supporters, and strengthen us all in faith, unity and hope, as we continue the journey together.

Merry Christmas, everyone and here's to a great season ahead for the Giants.

Bless you

Colin Campbell - Chaplain to Huddersfield Giants
